Minera Mews

Map

Minera Mews has not quite made up its mind to be a mews. A lot of the properties are simply the backs of houses in grander neighbouring streets.

The west side is taken up with garages and back entrances for the gardens of Eaton Terrace houses.

The east side is mainly the same but serving South Eaton Place.

But the east side also has a few genuine mews houses. No. 4 has a very pretty flower display. No. 22 at the end of the mews has an attractive sundial above its first floor windows.

The villagey effect is enhanced by the cobblestones (not good for high heels!)

Minera was the name of a village close to Eaton Hall in Cheshire, the traditional family seat of the Grosvenors.
