Two long-established South Kensington builders were responsible for most of the houses in Knaresborough Place. William Watts built Nos. 1-5 (odd) Knaresborough Place in the section nearest Cromwell Road (1875-6). J. F. Van Camp built Nos. 7 and 9 (odd) on either side of the junction with Hogarth Road (1874-5). Van Camp also built Nos. 2-8 (even) (1874-6). Other houses have been absorbed by the London Intercontinental Hotel development. No. 10 Knaresborough Place, which is on the end of Collingham Place, was built in 1874 by Joseph Frewing who was also building in Cromwell Road
