Lexham Mews is a continuation from Radley Mews and runs parallel to and on the south side of Stratford Road. It is cobbled and the houses are mainly two and three storeys. A few of them contain commercial premises and they are painted in a variety of colours. The mews is cobbled and the north side contains some mews houses but also the rear of larger houses in Stratford Road. There is also a hidden entrance into Sunningdale Gardens. The western section of the mews is only partly cobbled and curves round into Lexham Gardens. The eastern section of the mews is wholly cobbled. This end of the mews is entered under a brick arch.
This was built on the Edwardes Estate.
Nos. 6-18 (consecutive) were built as stables and coach houses in 1884-5. The builders were Myers and Company, which was a partnership of David Myers, a builder, and George Hughes, an architect.
