Redcliffe Street runs west of Redcliffe Gardens. It is tree lined and consists mainly of three-storey houses (plus basement). They are mainly brick and have small front gardens.
(For the name, see Redcliffe Road's history.)
Corbett and McClymont built all the houses in Redcliffe Street on land owned by Robert Gunter II.
They began work on the south side of the street in 1867 with Nos. 1-17 (odd). In 1870 they completed the south range with Nos. 19-25 (odd). In 1869-1870 they built the northern range, Nos. 2-22 (even).
